Masseria Le Fabriche, a historic estate located in Maruggio, Salento, has embarked on a new journey under the guidance of Rinaldo del Bono, expanding its production from olive oil to wine. This shift called for the creation of a visual identity and packaging design that would reflect the estate’s rich tradition and elegance.
The project came to life with the creation of the packaging for the first wine label: MarrubiuM Riserva Del Bono 2022. A name that references both the village of Maruggio and the marrubium plant, once widespread in the area and known for its medicinal properties.
The label was designed from scratch, inspired by the classic style of French Châteaux productions, with a refined and elegant design.
The illustration of the masseria, a symbol of the brand, was modernized with an engraving technique, cleaned up, and reworked. Red lettering elements and a matching red capsule gave the label a refined look, reflecting the high-end positioning of the product.
A distinctive element is the Capricorn, the symbol of the Del Bono family, illustrated along with its constellation on a seal placed on the bottle’s shoulder.
The project wasn’t limited to the packaging design alone.
We took care of the entire coordinated image, designing brochures, technical sheets, invitations, explanatory leaflets, and packaging. Special attention was given to the secondary packaging: the oak wooden crates, adorned with leather inserts, feature the brand engraved on the front and a hidden closure, enhancing the product’s value and exclusivity.
In both designs, the packaging serves as a narrative and sensory tool that reflects the brand’s identity, embodies its values, and differentiates the product in the market.
