For Terra Moretti’s holding we developed several projects for: Petra, Bellavista, Contadi Castaldi, L’Andana, L’Albereta and Le Porte Franche.
As with the brand, the project for the packaging of Petra Riserva relates to the architecture of the winery. The project, the work of Mario Botta, is characterised by the stairway that crosses the central cylindrical body and leads visitors to a special position between the earth and the sky. Like man, the grapevine suspended between earth and sky is the result of their respective influences.
We represented the triad by placing the texts of the label in three circles, located on a vertical axis, which intersect and progressively increase in size. The ascending movement refers to the research that goes into reaching the heights of quality expected of a Riserva. The minimalist features and innovative style extends to the creation of the packaging of other products, and all elements of company communication.
The bottle designed for Arzente, an aged brandy produced by Bellavista, was inspired by the decanting traditions and embellished by etching on the transparent glass surface. The furrows give the bottle personality, richness, and a play on light, and required a particularly demanding engineering process.
The result is a bottle that, in sync with the company identity of excellence, denotes the colour and warm reflections of the contents, giving a sense of the brandy within even before it is tasted.
Five rectangles come together to form a sphere that represents the earth: symbolic of the land in which the winemakers of the Group work. The excellence of these winemakers is in turn represented by the star that shines from within the symbol.
The brand consists of a globe formed from the union of five geometric elements that correspond to squares seen in perspective. The square has always been seen as a symbol of the earth, a theme that the companies of the group all have in common.
The star formed inside the brand represents the mission of the holding, dedicated to offering high quality products and services. A spiral on which the various brands of the companies are laid out completed the overall brand and expresses the concepts of consistent growth and dynamism.
