“Show me how you write, and I’ll tell you who you are.” The AB Selezione brand is born from one of the most personal marks one can make—the initials of Antonella Bocchino’s signature, a tribute to the founder of this compelling venture.

Graphology—a field studied by figures such as Max Pulver (Graphology – Writing and Personality) and Anja Teillard (The Soul of Writing)—reveals how both handwriting and signatures reflect our personality. Elements like size, stroke thickness, curvature or sharpness, slant, spacing, and text placement on the page express attitudes, emotions, intentions, and psychological nuances.

With her initials woven into a monogram that is both elegant and dynamic, refined yet bold, Antonella Bocchino expresses her essence through her line of grappas—proud, daring, and full of character. Born from tradition, they embody the expertise of those who, with passion, distilled aquavit after carefully selecting the finest pomace from farmers at the end of the harvest.

Packaging

Movement, detail, and precision—each product in the AB Selezione line balances elegance and vibrancy depending on its market positioning, yet all are infused with a lively, spirited essence. They engage passionately with the consumer, revealing the distinct “souls” that define them.

From the “Millesimi” and “Cru,” with their more refined and mature character, crafted from carefully selected grappas and aged under the watchful eye of master distillers, to the “Moscati d’Italia,” where a harmonious thread of Moscato, found across Italy, guides us through the country’s regions. Finally, the liqueurs are embraced by elegant bottle designs that highlight their aromas and unique flavors.

Elegance, vibrancy, and warmth—guiding the tradition of a historic product into the innovation of the contemporary market, created by specialists yet also embraced by simple, everyday enthusiasts. Antonella Bocchino’s grappas are an extension of herself, and like her, they warmly welcome the friends and admirers who discover and taste them.

AB Global Design

Once the unifying and highly memorable element of the project was found—the initials AB of Antonella Bocchino—and the style that characterizes the product lines through packaging was coordinated, the global identity followed the same process.

The graphic style chosen by the company is effectively applied to the website, brochure, and secondary packaging. The surfaces are enhanced with a pattern of repeated “AB” letters, feminine and intentionally reminiscent of the iconic designs from leading Italian-French fashion houses like Gucci, Dior, Moschino, Givenchy, and Chanel.

The vibrant expansion of small waves found in the “I Moscati” line is further applied in a simple yet effective way to the silhouette of founder Antonella Bocchino, which greets visitors upon entering the website.

A return to her figure, central and foundational to the entire project: it is her idea and initiative to take an “old friend,” grappa, by the hand and guide it through its alchemical evolution—from the steam clouds of ancient distillers to new, modern sensory heights.
