Returning to Packaging Première is always a chance to immerse ourselves in the world of packaging design and all its innovations.
This year, for the first time, we were active participants, exhibiting in the Design Hub, a creative space shared with other agencies that let us experience the show from a new vantage point.
Over three days of meetings with partners, suppliers, colleagues and visitors curious about our stand, the whole team had the chance to experience the show as a genuine opportunity for exchange, connection and updates on changes in the industry.
AI and digital: the future of design is already here
The theme of this edition – artificial intelligence as an amplifier of human creativity – intrigued and fascinated us, prompting reflections on the future of design and reminding us how much our work is made of continuous innovation and evolution.
Our Managing Director Luca Mancini knows this well: he took to the ring stage together with Matteo Zantedeschi, art director at Advision, for a lively debate between two deliberately opposing views: on one side the push towards digital printing, on the other the timeless value of traditional techniques and finishes.
Who won? No one – or perhaps both.
For us at NSG, both techniques coexist and complement each other, and knowing how to integrate them strategically is the way to give strength, identity and value to every project.

Trends, new materials and inspiration for wine & spirits packaging
Talks by industry professionals are always a source of ideas for future projects and collaborations.
The novelties that struck us most?
New applications for wine design
Labels made with materials unusual for the wine sector – such as fabrics – born from cross-pollination with the fashion world: new applications that show an openness to creative and cross-sector influences.
Real sustainability, less greenwashing
Not just new papers and colour palettes following the latest trends, but a change of pace on sustainability: less “green” storytelling and more concrete, responsible, eco-friendly technical solutions for tangible results.
The redemption of secondary packaging
Secondary packaging is no longer an accessory or reserved for limited editions, but increasingly has the importance it deserves: an integral part of the product’s story just as much as the primary dressing, even in standard productions.
A direction we have long supported, and one that has a well-established example in the beauty sector.
Neuroscience takes centre stage
Neuromarketing techniques applied to wine design are the key to designing packaging that catches the eye in the first instant on the shelf.
An evolving area, but increasingly strategic and indispensable.
Room for creativity
The spread of creative contests promoted by printers and suppliers gives small and medium-sized agencies the chance to experiment creatively and explore new techniques without worrying about production constraints, giving rise to virtuous projects that stimulate a collective growth of packaging culture.
Revolutionary new regulations
