Wine packaging design
Wine label and packaging design.
We design the label, bottle, gift box and finishes for wineries and producers: from wine label graphics to the choice of paper, foils and embellishments.
A wine label is not just graphics.
The label is the first meeting between a wine and the person choosing it, in a wine shop, at a restaurant, online. That is why label design starts from positioning: who the producer is, who it speaks to, where it will be sold, what makes it different from the bottle next to it.
We have worked in wine packaging design for forty years: label and back-label graphics, neck labels, gift boxes, bottle and closure. We follow the project through to print, with paper mills and printers, on print runs, papers and embellishments: hot foil, embossing, debossing, varnishes, special papers.
We design labels for Italian and international wineries and producers, from the restyling of a historic line to the launch of a new brand, in line with labelling rules. The label connects to the rest of the brand: identity, website, content, one single story.
What we design.
-
Label and back label
Graphics and layout, hierarchy, mandatory information, versions for ranges and vintages.
-
Range restyling
We renew historic labels without losing recognisability: what to keep, what to change, what to tell.
-
Gift boxes, cases and neck labels
Secondary packaging and gift boxes consistent with the label and the positioning.
-
Papers and embellishments
Hot foil, embossing, debossing, varnishes, special papers: we choose material and technique with paper mills and printers.
-
Bottle, closure and capsule
Shape, glass, stopper and capsule as part of the project, not a separate choice.
-
Range architecture
Many labels, one system: reserves, crus, entry-level lines, limited editions.
How we work.
-
Listening and analysis
Brief, product, market, competition and sales channels: we understand where the wine starts from.
-
Positioning and concept
We choose a point of view and translate it into a clear graphic concept.
-
Design
Proposals, development of label and packaging, choice of papers and embellishments.
-
Production and control
Production files, supplier relations, colour proofs and print supervision.

Frequently asked questions.
How much does wine label design cost?
It depends on the number of labels, the research needed and the embellishments. After a first meeting we prepare a quote tailored to your project.
How long does a new label take?
From a few weeks for a restyling to a few months for a new brand with naming, identity and packaging. Print times depend on the techniques chosen.
Can you work only on the label, without redoing the brand?
Yes. We can renew a single label or a range, keeping what people already recognise, or rethink the whole brand and packaging system.
Do you also oversee printing?
Yes. We prepare production files, choose papers and techniques with you and follow print proofs together with printers and paper mills.
Do you work with wineries across Italy and abroad?
Yes. We work with wineries and producers across Italy and on projects designed for export markets too.
Do you have a label to design or renew?
Tell us about the wine, the market and what you want people to understand at first glance.
Let's talk about your wineWho we work with.
