Senza 1 Senso on the Pentawards 2026 shortlist

Senza1Senso, the accessible packaging project we developed for AIS Lombardia on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the ViniPlus Lombardia guide, has been shortlisted by Pentawards, one of the world’s most authoritative organisations in packaging design.

Senza1Senso was born from a simple but fundamental question: can wine be an accessible experience even for those who cannot see?

The answer lies in the label, which combines braille writing for tactile reading and NFC technology to activate audio content with a simple gesture: holding a smartphone up to the bottle. Touch, hearing and sight intertwine in a single communication system, designed to include everyone without aesthetic compromise.

Inclusivity and creativity: the project cited by Pentawards

What makes us even prouder is that the project was cited directly by Pentawards in the article “Trends Revisited: Mid-Year Reflections”, a mid-year update on the packaging design trends identified at the start of 2026.

Among the movements analysed, “Bye Bye Barriers“: the trend that sees inclusivity no longer as a compromise, but as an opportunity to push creativity beyond its limits.

Here Senza1Senso is featured as a concrete example, with the label described as an inclusive, purpose-built device able to turn packaging into a voice that tells the story of the wine.
