In 2021 Poderi Luigi Einaudi celebrates its 125th anniversary. An important milestone that Matteo Sardagna Einaudi honours by presenting special editions dedicated to Barolo and Dogliani, in collaboration with a great internationally renowned artist.
Stefano Arienti’s style is influenced by arte povera; with his distinctive touch he brings back to attention the theme of wonder and the participation of the viewer.
The depiction of the horse is inspired by the “Sala dei Cavalli” in Palazzo Te (Mantua), a work by Giulio Romano with a symbolic meaning rooted in the classical tradition, uniting elegance, balance, pride and strength. Arienti’s cycle “Cavalli su Colonne, omaggio a Giulio Romano” (2021) is characterised by works, made with different techniques, depicting the profile of an ethereal horse; an archetypal figure but, at the same time, a physical presence strongly tied to the earth.
